Warrior is ready for old Wallaby foe

He became a hate figure for poking his tongue at the All Black haka.

Now former Wallaby Sam Scott-Young is squaring up to have the smirk knocked off his face by former Warriors hardman Monty Betham at the Fight For Life boxing bout in December.

The pair have all but agreed to a winner-takes-all match-up.

Betham said he was looking forward to renewing the rivalry after leaving the much heavier Scott-Young bruised and black-eyed at a previous charity fight in Australia.

Betham said of the 2008 brawl: "There wasn't much boxing going on. You had two guys just going for it. He was pretty pumped and he wouldn't settle down. I knocked him down in the last round."

Betham, a personal trainer, promised more fireworks.

Promoter Dean Lonergan said Scott-Young had vowed to "knock Monty's head off".

Jonah Lomu will lead a rugby union line-up squaring off against a rugby league team led by former Australian dual international Wendell Sailor.

Former All Blacks Troy Flavell, Carlos Spencer and Christian Cullen are in the rugby team and Kiwis player Issac Luke and former stars Awen Guttenbeil, Joe Vagana and Jerry Seuseu are in the league team.

Warriors star Manu Vatuvei is a possible opponent for Lomu, at the Trusts Stadium event in Waitakere on December 3.

The event will raise money for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand and is being promoted by Lonergan and Duco's David Higgins.
