Canberra captain Alan Tongue is poised to announce he will retire when his team's disappointing 2011 NRL season ends.
Tongue has a year left to run on his contract but is expected to cut it short.
He will finish as a one-club player, having made his NRL debut for the
Raiders in 2000.
Tongue's been captain since 2007 and will play his 218th game when the Raiders meet last-placed Gold Coast on Saturday.
