NRL: Fitness battle for Benji

Kiwis playmaker Benji Marshall may not train for the Tigers this week in a bid to play in Friday night's NRL elimination playoff against the Raiders in Canberra.

Marshall suffered a bruised medial ligament in his right knee in Saturday's dramatic loss to the Roosters.

But he'll do all he can to get back on the field to face the Raiders.

Marshall says he's sure coach Tim Sheens will give him every opportunity to play and that may mean missing training this week.

The Wests Tigers team will be named this afternoon.
