If you're not a Melbourne or Queensland supporter, chances are you're not Cameron Smith's biggest fan.
He has a reputation for getting away with things no other player would, and schmoozing referees to the point where he gets his way every single time.
But he went a way to changing
the perception of any haters out there with a genuinely classy post-match speech.
Dealing with the raw emotions of a grand final loss can't have been easy for the 33-year-old, especially knowing he had to address a packed stadium (mainly full of Cronulla fans) so soon after the game. He made a ridiculous 71 tackles in the match, but he saved his best individual performance for when he got behind the microphone.
He thanked his teammates, sponsors, coaching staff and the NRL for a great season, but one spiel earnt praise from all corners.
