The Brisbane Broncos handed the South Sydney Rabbitohs their second straight defeat to all but lock in their playoffs spot last night.
The Broncos cruised to a 38-18 victory at Suncorp Stadium to leapfrog the Warriors into seventh place on the table.
Winger Corey Oates bagged a hat-trick as theBroncos scored three tries in the final 20 minutes to secure the win after the Rabbitohs came back from 18-0 to tie the game up after halftime.
The win puts the Broncos four points clear of the ninth placed West Tigers.
"We were obviously good and had a few tough moments as well, but we stayed at it in the way that we know works for us," Broncos coach Wayne Bennett said after last night's victory.
