League: Warriors 'haven't really been in the contest' in past two NRL matches, Blake Green says

A "brutal" review of their blowout loss to the Manly Sea Eagles has hit home with the Warriors.

Halfback Blake Green admitted the team were "a little bit embarrassed" by what they saw when going through their performance in Christchurch in which they were outmuscled and thoroughly outplayed.

The Warriors have been in free fall since their dominant round one victory over the Bulldogs with back-to-back losses to Wests Tigers and Manly. It's been deflating, Green said, and it's something that the side need to find a fix for.

"To be honest we've just been out-enthused and we haven't been in the contest really. Physically we've been off the pace, so hopefully we can rectify that this week.

"There's not much talking that needs to be done, to be honest, it's all about our actions. We had a nice session (on Tuesday) so hopefully we can transfer that to the game.

"If we don't bring it this week we're in real trouble."

The Warriors host the Gold Coast Titans at Mt Smart Stadium on Friday night and could be in for a long night if they don't match the physicality of the visitors. Without a number of their first-choice options, the Titans were a handful for the high flying South Sydney Rabbitohs last time out.

The match against the Titans brings to a close what many fans believed to be one of the easier starting runs in the competition as the Warriors go on to play the South Sydney Rabbitohs, North Queensland Cowboys and Melbourne Storm in their next three.

However, Green said there was no such thing as a soft draw in the NRL, and getting a win against the Titans was no more or less important than any other game.

The visitors come in led by a formidable pack including State of Origin representatives Jai Arrow and Jarrod Wallace, and welcome back their starting halves Ash Taylor and Tyrone Roberts.

The Warriors will run a new halves combination with Chanel Harris-Tavita given the nod in the No6 jersey in place of Adam Keighran who looks set to play reserve grade.

Keighran played a starring role in the side's round one win over the Bulldogs but lost his spot as coach Stephen Kearney looks for a fix to their recent struggles.

Green said it was tough for Keighran, but was a part of the game he could learn from.

"I've been there myself. It's not easy playing in halves at the start of the year at the start of your career, especially if the team is a bit up and down.

"It's a big learning curve for him and I'm sure he'll be back in first grade sooner rather than later."
