"That's why I moved to the club because Neil (Henry, coach) approached me and wanted to bring the best out of me. He's already started to do it by asking the trainer to give it to me at training.
"I love it here and when I'm happy that's when I play my best footy."
The Titans begin a stretch of three straight home matches this Saturday when they host Parramatta.
The Eels defeated the Titans earlier this year in Darwin in what was Hurrell's first match for his new club.
In his five seasons as an NRL player, Hurrell is yet to play a finals match but he believes the Titans will be a team no-one will want to face if they can make the eight.
"If we get a few wins in these home games, it will help us a lot to be in the finals," he said.
"I reckon when we get to the finals teams will be a bit nervous playing against us."
