NRL: Feud between Farah and Taylor grows more intense

The bitter feud between Robbie Farah and Jason Taylor shows no sign of abating, with the Wests Tigers coach indicating his out-of-favour hooker could be sanctioned for comments critical of the NRL club.

Farah took aim at Taylor and Tigers management on Saturday after starring in Wests Tigers' NSW Cup win over Newtown at Leichhardt Oval.

After being dumped to reserve grade mid-week, Farah claimed he was being run out of the club and ridiculed the reasons Taylor has given for dropping him.

The Tigers' 25-12 win over St George Illawarra on Sunday will in part justify the decision by Tigers coach Jason Taylor to dump Farah to reserve grade.

But it seems the fight is far from over.

"I listened carefully to those and I think that (came) on the back of what was an emotional week and an emotional game for Robbie," Taylor said.

"To be honest I would prefer they weren't said publicly but I don't have a public comment about it. It is something we will deal with it in-house and that is where it should remain."

Farah didn't shy from making public comment on Saturday.

"I feel I am getting treated differently to some others," he said.

"I will continue being professional and try and keep my mouth shut and try not to do anything wrong because I think that is what they are trying to get me to do. But I think I am a bit smarter than that."

Taylor did respond in part to those comments in his post-match media conference on Sunday at ANZ Stadium.

"Some great stuff being tossed up as to what the club is thinking and what the club's position is," he said.

"We are clear it is a decision made based on performance. A decision I am confident is the right one."

Farah remains contracted to the Tigers through 2017. He is unlikely to play again this season unless there are injuries to several key personnel.

Chris Lawrence could be out for an extended time due to a leg injury suffered against the Dragons, while Tim Grant could miss Saturday's clash with the Eels after being concussed in a Leeson Ah Mau tackle.

"Robbie is deserved very popular at the Wests Tigers for what he has done ... but the decisions isn't made for anything other than what we want for this team moving forward. They are two different things," Taylor said.

"I respect what Robbie has done for this club enormously and I know it is a tough call, but it is a decision made for the future."
