Smith said Queensland's preparations for the decider had been the best of the series despite suggestions they had been disrupted by injury and the late arrival in camp of prop Matt Scott for personal reasons.
"You might be surprised to hear that but we had 20 blokes here, sorry 19 with Scotty still away, and Billy (Slater) in Melbourne trying to get his knee right.
"All the guys in camp have either played or been part of a squad before.
"Benny Te'o hasn't had a game but he's been 18th man before so he knows what it's all about.''
Smith said Queensland's training sessions had been outstanding.
"Our sessions this week have probably been the best out of the whole series with two opposed sessions which are more game-like,'' he said.
Smith said the NSW side trying to stop Queensland's six-game streak would come to Brisbane with more self-belief.
"We've played some good NSW sides in the past and come away with a win and people have thought Queensland were better than the Blues,'' he said.
"There's only been a couple of blow-outs in all the games we've played in those series and there isn't a lot between the sides.
"We were pretty disappointed with the result in Sydney. We had a chance to wrap up the series but we didn't.
"We weren't that far off.''
