Wales are without Cronulla second-rower Tyson Frizell, who has failed to recover from an arm injury sustained in last Saturday's 36-0 defeat by England, but another Australian-based player with Welsh ancestry, Matt Seamark, is hoping for a recall after being in the side that lost 42-4 to England.
Seamark, a 24-year-old half-back from Queensland Cup team Wynnum Manly, has been pinpointed as a potential threat by Brisbane winger Jharal Yow Yeh, who is set to win his second cap for the Kangaroos.
"I know there's Matty Seamark, who plays for Wynnum back home and, if he gets a game, he'll be a player to watch," said Yow Yeh.
"I think he goes very good but I haven't really seen much of the Welsh players.
"I saw a bit of their game against New Zealand before the boys played England and I thought they went pretty good so we're going to have to bring our A game and build for the final."
