League: Christchurch to host Anzac test

Christchurch was today confirmed as the venue next year for New Zealand's annual mid-season rugby league test against Australia.

The match has been set down for May 6 at AMI Stadium, making it only the second time the fixture has been staged in New Zealand.

The first was in 1998, when the Kiwis won 24-18 at North Harbour Stadium in Auckland.

New Zealand Rugby League said tickets for the 2011 test would go on sale tomorrow.
