Unfortunately, last week a clip on social media from two nights before the important game against the Tigers may have exposed more than three Warriors players enjoying a night out at a concert.
There is no suggestion they were drinking or doing anything else silly, but they were there at a time when their club was on its 2015 death bed.
That they didn't know better is to me mind boggling and raises some serious questions, that I won't go into now.
In fact, that incident may have exposed part of the root of the Warriors problems. A lack of professionalism, a lack of confidence and a lack of answers.
And I would think these big three issues are what CEO Jim Doyle will uncover when he completes his season review.
But let's think about them.
1) To gain professionalism there needs to be an absolute refusal to compromise the principles of professionalism just to fit in with mediocrity.
When the coaches do their season review, unfortunately, they will see they have allowed this to happen.
2)To gain confidence, young players need encouragement and also protection. By protection I mean being kept out of the blame game.
It was not the young players who cost this season!!!
3) To provide answers. This maybe the most important although a team can't survive without any of the three.
Answers come in many ways. They could be team selections, discipline, a change of routine or any of hundreds of others.
It was clear to me the players at times looked lost and that's a concern.
How is this prevented from happening again next year? That's the big question.
Coach Andrew McFadden will be delivered a second chance this time and to be fair, I think he should, but he needs to be careful.
Just ask Manly's now ex-coach Geoff Toovey whose team finished two wins ahead of the Warriors.
