Rugby League: State of Origin booze ban off

New South Wales coach Phil Gould is set to drop the idea of an alcohol-free camp for the State of Origin league series after resistance from players and coaching staff. Gould had indicated he would discuss ditching the traditional boozy element of team bonding in the wake of recent off-field incidents but members of the 30-man NSW squad gave the idea of an alcohol ban the thumbs down.
