Rowing: Twigg makes Rio, NZ crews just miss out

Some brutal results for New Zealand's rowing crews at the Olympic qualification 'regatta of death' in Lucerne.

Emma Twigg won her final to qualify a 10th New Zealand boat for Rio.

The four other crews missed out in their respective finals.

The men's four and men's and women's quadruple sculls have finished third, missing the Olympics by one place.

The men's lightweight double sculls finished sixth.

Rowing New Zealand qualified 11 boats for the London Games, but the qualification of men's and women's eights means more Kiwis will wield oars at Rio.
