Richie McCaw only recently joined Facebook at the behest of team mate Daniel 'Dan' Carter. He previously shunned the social media depository, leading fans to dubious accounts such as 'Non officiel: Richie McCaw'

It's been less than a week since McCaw opened his mind to the Social Network, yet he has already gathered 383,865 likes. That's 2665.72 likes per hour.

So far the majority of his photos have been graced by the presence of the Holy Grail aka the 'Webb Ellis Trophy' which his rugby team 'The All Blacks' won by scoring more points than the other team.

Today, however, that changes. In place of the chalice we have a helicopter. The helicopter is a machine afforded only by those with prestige and mana. Richie is oozing both, though we hope he didn't exchange his goblet for it.
