As the All Blacks head to Pretoria seeking revenge for their loss to the Springboks three weeks ago the betting public are hesitant to follow them into battle.
Two thirds of the money in the Head to Head market for Sunday morning's Test is currently backing the Springboks, with onepunter so confident that the men from the Republic will make it back to back wins over the All Blacks they've place an $8,000 wager on the home side.
In Las Vegas it's no surprise the punters are backing Conor McGregor's return to the Octagon against Khabib Nurmagomedov. The TAB has taken over five time as many bets and five times as much money on the Irishman head to head for the bout.
The strong support for McGregor has seen his head to head price shorten from $2.30 to $2.20 with that quote only likely to get lower as the fight gets nearer.
No matter who wins the punters are expecting a short fight with McGregor by KO the most popular option in the Method of Victory market, closely followed by Nurmagomedov by KO. However, the largest bet in this book is a $2,400 wager on Nurmagomedov by Decision that could return one punter $12,000.
Close to home the Livamol Classic rounds out the Hawkes Bay Triple Crown at Hastings on Saturday afternoon and it's no surprise that Savvy Coup leads the early betting after her impressive run in the Windsor Park Plate, while the punters are also racing to back Winx as she goes for her 28th consecutive win in the Turnbull Stakes at Flemington.
