Chocolate Fish has the flashing light on him in Saturday's 144th running of the Grand National Steeplechase after running home strongly into second place behind race rival Amanood Lad in last week's Koral Steeplechase.

The Shane Brown-trained nine-year-old holds three times more cash than the next best-backed runner in the market, Wise Men Say.

Support in the market for Wise Men Say suggests that the Whanganui visitor is one of the main chances. He was beaten by 20 lengths last Saturday but he has a quality record which includes winning a Grand National and Wellington Chase. The Raymond Connors-trained runner will appreciate the extra trip and any rain that might fall prior to the 2:24pm start time.
