Punters are keen to take on the favourite in early betting for Saturday's Caulfield Cup in Melbourne.
The Darren Weir-trained Kings Will Dream ($5) is currently favourite for the race after placing in three straight Group 1 Weight-For-Age races, but is far from the best-backed runner in theTAB's market.
Youngstar ($6) holds that title after seeing more than twice as much money as Kings Will Dream.
Trained by Kiwi-born champion trainer Chris Waller, Youngstar has been hugely popular with bettors after pushing stable-mate and super-mare Winx to a length in the Group 1 Turnbull Stakes two weeks ago.
She has also attracted the biggest bet so far with a $3,000 stake as well as another bet of $1,000.
Elsewhere, all the horses with Kiwi connections have been well supported with the TAB, with Australian Derby winner Jon Snow ($35), from the powerful Murray Baker/Andrew Forsman stable, seeing a large amount of money.
One punter stands to win $30,500 if the Kiwi can defy the big odds and win after placing a $500 futures bet on him at odds of $61 in September.
Plenty of New Zealand punters are hoping for a scratching in the race so emergency starter Patrick Erin ($31) can get into the field.
The former-Kiwi won the Group 1 Metropolitan last month and is the third best-backed runner after opening at $41 and will be the TAB's worst result if he wins again on Saturday.
Kiwi jockey James McDonald will also feature in the race, riding The Taj Mahal ($17), the New Zealand punters haven't missed him with plenty of money coming in, including a $1,000 bet.
