Pentane in the Auckland Cup next Wednesday. He's been my tip right through, although I admit I'm nervous about the recent 1.5kg re-handicap. At the end of 3200m, 1.5kg sits like a concrete block. I think he's a terrific stayer on the way through though.

One bet, okay, my own horse Momento. He's in Saturday, but he may not run there, I might keep him for the R76 race on the final day next week. Whenever he starts he's my bet of the carnival. If I was looking at someone else's horse I'd say Frank Ritchie's Mac Five in the Nathans Memorial.

Paul Moroney (Bloodstock expert)

Bible Class in the R76 1400m on Auckland Cup day next Wednesday. She won impressively first up from a spell, then ran into a very good horse when second at Ellerslie last start. The step up to 1400m is what she's looking for.

Tipping stable runner Genebel for the Auckland Cup. She's a great each-way bet."
