Trainer Chris Waller, a former New Zealander, said it was pleasing to see Sacred Falls show the stable he was not just a horse who excelled in rain-affected going.
"It's good to see him win on a good track. He's not just a wet tracker," Waller said.
Waller then claimed a two-state Group One double in the space of 20 minutes when Foreteller edged out Happy Trails in the Underwood Stakes at Caulfield.
After Sacred Falls led home a Waller quinella in the George Main Stakes at Randwick, Foreteller joined the party with his narrow Underwood win in Melbourne.
Ridden by Glen Boss, Foreteller saved ground into the straight and came between horses to put a winning stride in close to the line and end a group one drought for his rider.
Happy Trails showed he is on target for another start in the Cox Plate by challenging Foreteller all the way to the wire.
Crackerjack King gave a strong kick from the front to finish third.
Melbourne Cup favourite The Offer failed to run on and finished with the tailenders.
