Racing: Matamata pair look ready for bold Te Rapa engagements

Kerry OReilly and Distinctly Secret looked ready for bold efforts at Te Rapa on Saturday when they galloped together at Matamata yesterday.

Working on a good plough, Kerry OReilly and Distinctly Secret began at three-quarter-pace from the 2000m mark and quickened to cover the last 1200m in 1:17.6 and the
600m in 37.6. They hit the line strongly and will strip at peak fitness for their weekend engagements.

Waikato Draught Sprint candidate Kings Chapel was partnered by Lynisky in a smart 1200m gallop in 1:16.4, the last 1000m in 1:01.4 and the 600 in 35.5. Race rival Clean Sweep led Fasliyitsa to the end of 1200m in 1:15.6, the 1000m in 1:00.2 and the 600 in 35.7.

Better Boy worked boldly with Penny Gem over 1200m in 1:17, the last 600 in 38.7. Sarah Vee was not pressured in her workout when covering 1000m in 1:11.8 and the final 600m in 39.7.

Raphael prepared for Te Rapa with 1200m in 1:17.8, the 600 in 37.6, while Merry Dance and Milcape took 1:17 and 37.5, and Singasong clocked 1:18.4 and 38.2.

Showgirl and Amira turned in good work early in the session when sent over 1200m in 1:17, the last 600 in 36.4. Smartway looked bright when restricted to 1000m in 1:13.7, the 600 in 43.2.

Promising stayer Pulborough worked strongly over 1200m in 1:17.4, the 600 in 36.2. Stravigent was restricted to 1000m in 1:08.4, the 600 in 40. Hatepe and Bering Island took 1:16.5 for 1200m and 37 for the last 600.

Patrol and Hughie Mulligan cut out the last 1000m of their work in 1:04, the 600 in 38.8. Wairoa candidate Whit N Polish took 1:18.5 for 1200m, the 600 in 37.6.

Youaremysunshine and Brave Mariner left 1200m behind in 1:18.2, the 600 in 37.4. Over the same ground Danex and Bible Class clocked 1:17.2 and 37.8.

Formation worked evenly over 1200m in 1:19.8, the 600 in 38.2. Right On Time worked well to lead a Germano filly to the end of 1200m in 1:20.8, the 600 in 37.8.

Deebee Jean covered 1200m steadily in 1:27.2, the 600 in 43.2, while Vaalu was also unextended in his work over 1200m in 1:32, the 600 in 45.5.

Stablemates Sarajay and Dickiedoodah were in splendid form in seperate gallops on a fast plough at Takanini yesterday.

Sarajay, a smart winner at Trentham last time out, showed she had trained on well by running 1000m in 1:1, the last 600 in 35.1.

Dickiedoodah, also successful at Trentham, galloped strongly through the last 1200m of 1400 to finish in 1:15.3, the 600 in 36.7.

Wingatui visitor The Jewel led Rubbledum by two lengrths after 1600m, the last 1000 in 1:2 and 600 in 36.4.

Sedecrem worked off from the 1200m and sprinted 1000 in 1:00.8, the last 600 in 37.

Myladys strode the last 1200m of 1600 in 1:19.1 and 600 in 38.1.

Our Lionette completed 1200m in 1:20.2, the final 600 in 37.5. She is close to leaving maiden company.

Justa Tad completed 1000m in 1:3.8, speeding up for the closing 600 in 36.5.

Mr Multiwin starred at Cambridge where work was on a firm plough.

Mr Multiwin produced an outstanding gallops, cutting out 1000m in 58.5, the last 600 in 35.8. He is at peak fitness.

Dowry looked ready for her pending Te Rapa engagment when completing 1400m in1:35 with stablemate Viz Vitae, the final 600 in 38.8. Free Sea was untroubled to run 1200m in 1:23, the last in 38.

Kajema left 1200m behind in 1:19, the last 600 in 38.1.

Rioja worked in from the 1000m in 1:9.2, the 600m in 40.2.

DuFresne was let off with an easy 800m in 58. Tusker, Sahara Flight, and Ivory Storm, matched strides over 1400m in 1:34, the last 600 in 39.5.

Tattinger sprinted 600 in 37.3, Dominique and Zalika were timed from the 1400m in 1:34.3, the 600m in 38.

Sllure, Alibi, and Vincere completed 1000m together in 1:8, the final 600 in 37.1.

Winning Kid followed over 600m in 37.1.

Ritzy Lady and Lolly Scramble were not extended over 600 in 41.2. Just Jeff completed 1200m in 1:17, coming home in 37.3.

verna ran 1000m in 1:3.9, the final section in 37.5.

Rosetti Bay and Spin City were outstanding at Te Awamutu.

All fast work was on a deep plough.

Last-start winner Rosetti Bay and Spin City were running on nicely at the end of a 1000m run in 1:33, the last 600 in 35.6.

Sweet Torque and Azaria took 1:5.1 for their 1000, the 600 in 37.5. Irish Outlaw and Materangi ran a 1000 in 1:5.4, the 600 nicely in 36.9.

Sunlaw went an easy 1000 1:6.4, the 600 in 39.2.

Fooram took 1:7.4 for his 1000, the 600 in 39.8.

Axis and Saistan ran a leisurely 1000 in 1:8.1, the 600 in 43.3.

Resurrection sprinted 600 in 37.4.
