Madamvizelle looked ready for a bold fresh-up run at Ruakaka when she worked well at Matamata yesterday.

Madamvizelle was put through her paces by her trainer Eric Betty on the all-weather track, where she ran the last 1000m of her work in 1:05.3 and the final 600m in 37.8. She has not raced since late May, but is capable of a forward showing in tomorrow's R92 1400.

Ruakaka maiden candidate Lord Latitude (Tait) completed his preparation on the sand, running 800m in 50.8 and the final 600m in 38. He has trained on well since his bold last start effort at Ruakaka.

Stark Breeze (Dellow) worked in good style over 1000m in 1:03.6, the last 600m in 37, while Tyson (Gorham) and Bold Contact (S. Collett) covered the same distance in 1:05.8 and 39.6.

Viaggio (Davidson) was in dashing form when she cut out the last 1000m of her work in 1:03.2 and the 600m in 36.2. Kowhai King (Colgan) and Wisteria Lane (Wenn) took 1:07 for 1000m and 38.7 for the final 600m.

Promising maiden Monica's Legacy (O. Bosson) was well held over 1000m in 1:10.2, the last 600m in 41.6. Kay's Awake (McKay) covered 1000m in 1:05, the last 600m in 38.2, while Burning Desire (Coleman) and Adelariva (Davidson) clocked 1:08.4 and 39.6.

Patrol (P. Brosnan) kept up an even tempo over 1200m in 1:20.8 and 40.2. Over the same ground Civic (Hayes) and Waiknotme (Rastrick) took 1:22.3 and 38.5, and De Lucre (Wright) 1:22.8 and 40.6.

Star Align (Walker) was not extended over 1000m in 1:07.2, the last 600 in 39.6, while Red Cloud (J. Collett) and The Plan (Hayes) took 1:08.6 and 39.4, and Hi Flyer (Tetzlaff) 1:07.7 and 40.4.

Blue Skies (Davidson) looked well when sent an easy 1000m in 1:10.7, the last 600m in 39.4. Realign (Coleman) ran his last 800m in 56.8 and 600m in 41.6, and Charaad (C. Lammas) ran from the 600m in 42.5.

On the all-weather track Logarhythm (Gillies) finished his work with 1200m in 1:22.6 and 600m in 41.2, while The Gambler (Betty) came from the 800m in 51.6 and 600m in 37.8.

Zarius and Darci Brahma worked right-handed on the heavy course proper. Zarius (Sapsworth) was timed over his last 600m in 39.6 and Darci Brahma (Walker) followed in 39.8. They have both come through their Te Teko trial runs in excellent order.

* Ruakaka race rivals Magnitude and Heza Cool Dude returned a smart gallop on a heavy No.1 grass at Cambridge today.

Magnetism (Johansen) and Heza Cool Dude (medium weight ) matched strides from the 1000m in 1:7.8, sprinting the final 600m in 37.9. They are in excellent order for their weekend engagements.

Kajema (Carlos) left 1200m behind in 1:20, the final 600m in 41.4. Orderman (Houston) and Dead Common (Ropiha) came to the end of 900m in 52, the final 600m in 39.

Galloping on the No.2 grass Ebony Star (Hofmann) was untroubled to run 600m in 42.7. Waikeria (Brancacova) was timed from the 800m in 54.8. Imperium (Hills) and Liberty Lad (Russell) were on terms throughout 800m in 53.

Galloping on the sand Astaire (Hofmann) rounded off his preparation for Ruakaka by sprinting 400m in 26.9. Granny Smith (McFarlane) was sent an easy 600m in 42.2. Hi Jack (McCarroll) came in from the 600m comfortably in 43.4.

Harvest the Gold (Walsh) and Call Me Cullen (Norvall) completed 1000m in 11:8, coming home in 39.8. Parcel Post (Satherley) and Ambitious Merchant (Gillies) travelled well throughout 600m in 39.2. Castelli (Norvall) and Giovanni (Walsh) covered 1000m in 1:9, the final 600m in 40 and Keepalight (Norvall) was restricted to two rounds of pacework.

* Cooperator promised to quit maiden ranks at Ruakaka tomorrow judged by his gallop at Pukekohe yesterday.

Working on the all-weather sand, Cooperator (Evans) ran the last 1200m of 1600 in 1:18.8 and 600 in 38.6. He was a good third on the course last time out and has trained very well.

Divining Rod, with lightweight Jason Collett up, cut out 600m in a smart 36.2. Al Vialli (Evans) sprinted 1000m in 1:3, the last 600 in 37.3.

Mandela (Fearon) cruised 1200m in 1:20, the last 600 in 39. He should have a bit too much class for his rivals tomorrow.

Baileys Comet (B. Yuill) went 1200m in 1:21, the final 600 in 38.5.

Madam Rogers (Rolston) worked away from the 800m and quickened for the final 400 in 26.8.
