Racing: Logan looks at Queensland Derby

Donna Logan will decide Volkstok'n'barrell's immediate future this week. Australian options are being considered for the 3-year-old, who was a gallant runner-up in the New Zealand Derby.

"Donna will have a saddle on him in the next day or two and see how he is, he did have a hard run on Saturday," part-owner Garry Cossey said.

"There's a few options - Sydney or Queensland and that may be more viable with their Derby now over 2200m. It could suit him better than 2400m at Randwick. There's also Melbourne in the spring and we will be guided by what Donna thinks."
