Stirling Point, who ran fourth in the Franklin Cup on November 25, won four races from eight starts when trained by Barry Purdon.
False Promise, who unleashed a brilliant finish to win the Roxburgh Cup on Thursday, has gone back to the 10m mark. Glencoe VC, the winner of five of his seven starts, was freshened after his last start win at Wyndham on November 13.
He ran third in a workout won by Jumpforjoy at Wyndham on December 23 in an eight-horse field.
"He may just need a race," Brendon McLellan, his trainer, said.
Supreme Gem, from the Mark Jones stable, has been racing well enough to feature in the finish. She ran second to San Rafaella in the Equine Stakes at Winton last start.
Double El (race 8), the beaten favourite at Omakau when he tangled during the running, will wear shorter hopples tomorrow. Trainer Robbie Holmes has also altered his shoeing.
