Racing: Cyber Attack looks no hack

Winning 2-year-old form is about as consistent as you can get in racing and it might pay to remember that summing up Te Rapa today.

Devastating is the only way to describe Cyber Attack's win on this track last start - he was cruising late and could have done better.

Overall the opposition in Race 3 today is probably a bit better, but his experience over the main trio he faces should assist to get him home. As the winner of two races he is well off with 58.5kg, only 1kg more than More Wonder and Von Trapp, both the winners of one each. The fact he has already won on the track is a bonus.

Von Trapp will be the serious opponent. He careered away to win on debut at Ruakaka and should be further improved.

Difficult to know yet how good he is. If he can beat Cyber Attack with their relative race records, he is special.

If Youwantmore (No2, R1) is to win another this preparation surely it has to be the opener today.

She finds herself in a race significantly easier than she has been facing and gets the bonus of a 3kg Wiremu Pinn allowance. With 54.5kg she will not get a better opportunity. Beaufighter (No5) is also going to go around with a luxury weight. His lead-up form is solid.

Roc De Bank (No2, R2) was a touch below par when fifth here last start, but his previous two runs were top class.

His Te Rapa record is excellent and is well worth another chance. The 4kg claimed by Rebecca Scott will play a big part. Temple Tiger (No3) deserves a win after three second placings.

He has a valuable 2kg claim.

If you saw the finishing burst of Hunua Hunk (No1, R4) last start at Matamata you will want to be on to see him go one better today. He is bred out of a Zabeel mare so should keep improving. He is drawn to get a sweet passage in running. Luck Of Master (No3) won't be in maidens long. He has an awkward barrier, but the 1600m starting point at Te Rapa provides a long run down the back straight to get organised. Zenntari (No2) is worth consideration for multiples.

No Loitering (No5, R5) is in career best form. There was real authority about his victory on this track last start and with another 3kg allowance via Darren Danis he can make it two straight. Igraine (No10) was super impressive winning on her New Zealand debut here last start and as a Galileo mare she could be very classy. Don't leave her out of any multiples.

Julius (No2, R6) - well if he starts he's going to be difficult to beat unless the rain-affected track brings him undone. He is sheer class. If he's scratched, or you're looking for a saver, Magnum (No5) looks the one.

You can't do much better than Pink Graffiti (No7, R7) from a brief career. She should continue to get better and an each-way looks pretty safe here. So Much Mour (No3) is right in the race.

Shockwave (No8, R8) is another each-way bet in the last, even though it's probably the toughest race on the programme.

Bojangles (No1) could go better than paper form suggests.
