"It was just one of those days when nothing went right. Things just didn't pan out but we will be back," Moody said.
Bring Me The Maid is being set for the Brisbane group one sprint treble of the BTC Cup (1200m), Doomben 10,000 (1350m) and the Stradbroke (1350m).
"If she isn't up to those races we can drop her back a notch to some of the 3-year-old features," Moody said.
Bring Me The Maid, who ran third in the 2014 Golden Slipper, has won twice in group two company and was fourth in last year's Thousand Guineas.
She begins her Brisbane campaign on the back of a nose second to Delectation in the Arrowfield Sprint on April 11 at Randwick.
Her stablemate Wish Come True is headed to the Toowoomba Cup (2100m) on Saturday after missing a run in the Hollindale Stakes as an emergency.
