Not easy at Ellerslie today, but several nice each-way chances.
There will be no fancy odds on Nancho Bella (No7, R2), but on form she should be very difficult to roll. She was beaten only by Zennista last start and Zennista has been the form horse of the past two
months. The only slight concern is that Nancho Bella has not previously raced at Te Rapa, which can occasionally be an issue, but everything else points to her.
If Rose Of Falkirk (No8, R4) can turn her zip-from-three Te Rapa record she can be difficult to handle. That was a nice second at Te Awamutu and she should now be close to winning. The Old Sheila (No12) could run a bold race while fresh.
Bally Duff (No1, R6) found 1400m too short in his first start back home since returning from Hong Kong. He was making ground nicely at the end of that race and should appreciate the 1600m. Don't be concerned by the wide barrier - Bally Duff needs plenty of galloping room and there is a long run down the back straight to work into the right spot. Kafafel (No3) has great course stats.
Grey Power (No8, R7) came back from a long break with a dashing Rotorua victory last start. He is five and has had just the three career starts and has real ability. Star Bound (No3) is a course winner and will appreciate the 1600m.
