New Zealand's world champion athletes are about to hit the pool at the Glasgow 2015 IPC Swimming World Championships with the event to be livestreamed for New Zealand viewers.
AttitudeLive is the official New Zealand broadcaster for the July 14 - 20 swimming champs and will follow the eight Kiwiswimmers, who will race mainly between 4am and 8am NZ time.
Leading the Kiwis in the chase for medals at the swim meet will be two time-Paralympians' Sophie Pascoe and Cameron Leslie, who will be joined by the surprise golden medallist at the London 2012 Paralympic Games, Mary Fisher.
Rebecca Dubber will also be back chasing gold after taking time out after London 2012 for surgery and Nikita Howarth returns after her Paralympic debut at London 2012. Georgia Gray, Hamish McLean and Jesse Reynolds are the rising stars rounding out the New Zealand team.
Attitude founder Robyn Scott-Vincent said coverage from Glasgow is a natural extension of their work that aims to showcase the abilities and talents of Kiwis with disabilities.
Global figures indicate more people are recognising the value of Paralympic sport as elite sport.
"The London 2012 Paralympic Games were regarded by the world's leading television networks as a game changer," Scott-Vincent said. "The London opening ceremony attracted an average audience of eight million for Channel 4 in the UK. That compares with the BBC's 2.8 million viewers peak coverage of the Beijing 2008 Paralympics.
"The Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games had a record cumulative global TV audience of nearly 2.1 billion people according to the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). Our Attitude team successfully livestreamed from Sochi and now we will take our learning from that experience to Glasgow. It is part of our road to Rio 2016 Paralympics."
