Lydia Ko is not allowing self-doubt to creep in following her disappointing finish at the British Open earlier this week.
The world number one will soon depart for Rio, where she is among New Zealand's top medal prospects. But her performance over the weekend at Woburn reminded us even Ko
can have a bad day.
She's Got Game caught up with Ko in the UK earlier this week following her 40th place finish to discuss her form heading into Rio, what it's like being a role model when she is still a teenager herself, and those rumours she would switch allegiances to Korea.
Ko said her setback at the British Open won't change her approach in Rio, where women's golf will appear on the Olympic programme for the first time.
"When I'm on the course I try to play aggressive and confident, but at the same time play smart - and if you're not playing well, try and be okay with it. If you beat yourself up next time you have more doubts about yourself."
