Liam Messam will officially make his return to the All Blacks Sevens team at this weekend's World Series leg in Las Vegas.
Messam will pull on the sevens jersey for the first time since helping New Zealand win Commonwealth Games gold in 2010.
Fellow former All Black Sonny Bill Williams
is being rested for the tournament.
Counties-Manukau pair Josh Van Lieshout and Sione Molia are the two new faces in the 12 strong squad.
The tournament starts tomorrow, with Portugal, Russia and Kenya in New Zealand's pool.
