Rio Olympics 2016: Ryan Lochte moves in with Playboy model

Ryan Lochte has a new place to dry his tears at night: girlfriend Kayla Rae Reid's apartment.

Following last week's ambush from protesters on Dancing with the Stars, the disgraced Olympian revealed he was ready to walk away from the show entirely. Fortunately for Lochte, his unyielding support system - including his Playboy model roommate - convinced him otherwise.

"Last week I wanted to quit the show," Lochte said last week. "I was like, 'The Dancing with the Stars show doesn't deserve this.' I was really down on myself. But DWTS came together as a family and they really supported me and gave me that positive influence that kept me going back to rehearsal and staying on the show."

While it's unclear if Lochte will survive the next elimination round, he can count on his girlfriend of six months to stick by his side.

"Especially my girlfriend, because I'm living with her now," he said. "She's definitely just been so supportive."

Speaking to DailyMail.com last month, the Olympian's stunning model girlfriend all but confirmed that they had met on dating app Tinder.

"He was on Tinder. I might be on Tinder,' Kayla said with a smile. "That's all I'm going to say about it."

Lochte, along with three of his swimming teammates, fabricated a robbery following a drunken night out during the Rio games. After their account was proven false, Lochte was dropped by several prestigious sponsors, including Speedo and Ralph Lauren.

Prior to Lochte's 10-month suspension, the couple, who may or may not have met on Tinder, were planning ahead to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

"He's mentioned this might be his last one, but then sometimes he says he thinks he will go again," Reid told the Daily Mail. "I like Tokyo. Tokyo is fun."

Earlier, protestors Sam Satoodeh and Barzeen Soroudi were arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor trespassing and each held on $US1000 bail after the pair rushed the stage to protest the Olympic swimmer on the ABC ballroom dancing competition.

"Our purpose is to get the message out that Lochte is a coward, a liar and under Brazilian law, a criminal," Satoodeh told ABC News outside of jail last week.

Soroudi added that he believed Lochte "embarrassed Americans on the world's stage, and this was our form of protesting against that".
