There is even an Instagram account dedicated to showcasing the athletes online which purports to have profile pictures belonging to everyone from divers to swimmers and Olympic tennis players.
It's been reported more than 450,000 condoms were handed out by Olympic organisers to athletes during the games by men such as "Eric" whose sole job was to walk around distributing protection.
