Oldies unite for rugby competition

The Russians are coming, and so are Sicilians and Norfolk Islanders. These are just some of the nationalities that will be represented at the Golden Oldies World Rugby Festival in Wellington from October 29 to November 5. More than 4000 rugby-mad people will be at the Air New Zealand-sponsored event, including 160 teams from 15 countries. The official opening of the event will be on the steps of Parliament followed by a street parade of teams and a welcome party at Te Papa. Games will be played at three venues in the Wellington region.
