New Zealand sailors have breezed into three medal races at the French Olympic Sailing Week in Hyeres.
Andrew Murdoch is second in the Laser standings, Jo Aleh fifth in the Laser Radial and in the 470s, Carl Evans and Peter Burling start the medal races tomorrow morning insixth overall.
Murdoch lost the lead in the Laser to Canadian Michael Leigh after finishing 11th and 15th in the two rounds raced this morning.
He trails Leigh by just two points.
Aleh improved to fifth from sixth after a third and 21st in the latest race but is 13 points back from fourth place.
Sarah Blanck of Australia looks set to sew up the gold medal with an 18-point buffer over her nearest rival.
Dan Slater missed out on a spot in the Finn medal race after failing to climb up from 11th for a place in the top 10.
He was 14th and then 20th in the two races sailed this morning and concludes the regatta in 12th place.
"Although I'm really disappointed with the result, I am still happy with all my equipment and speed and I really have nothing to blame except myself for my result," Slater said.
In the Tornado, Aaron McIntosh and Mark Kennedy finished 16th.
