Swedish boxer Anthony Yigit admits he had a 'tough Saturday night'. You don't say.

The super lightweight boxer shared an image on social media of a extremely swolled eye after suffering a defeat in the weekend.

The 27-year-old lost World Boxing Super Series quarter-final to Ivan Baranchyk in New Orleans following a corner retirement in the seventh round.

"Well, that didn't go as planned..," Yigit began his message on Instagram.

"The eye is ok (looks worse than it is), got a couple of stitches above the eyebrow from a cut, drained blood from my ear and also got a small fracture in my jaw in the 5th round. A tough Saturday night, in other words."

Yigit went into the bout with a 21-0-1 record before losing the 12 round contest.
