See who shone and who struggled in the All Blacks' 37-20 win over the Wallabies.

All Blacks

15. Damian McKenzie - 7

Heavily involved as a back-up playmaker and took on the line; was solid at the back on defence.

14. Ben Smith - 8
Scored a late intercept try which was a reward for a busy night on attack. Broke the line a few times.

13. Ryan Crotty - 6
Was a passenger on attack, making just 2m from three carries, though he shored up the midfield on defence.

12. Sonny Bill Williams - 6
Tried to get himself involved and made a couple of questionable decisions. Made some important offloads.

11. Rieko Ioane - 9
Saw plenty of work as the clear go-to attacking weapon. Ran for 105m and made a beautiful offload to set up a try. Was rewarded with a late try of his own.

10. Beauden Barrett - 7
Didn't have his usual impact running the ball but controlled the play well and his placekicking was near-perfect.

9. TJ Perenara - 5
Had a relatively quiet night and struggled to get involved outside of the usual duties. Stepped up on defence when needed.

8. Kieran Read – 6
Scored a try. Made some important tackles when his side were under the pump but was ill-disciplined at times.

7. Ardie Savea - 8
Came charging out of the gates but went missing on attack in the second half but made up for it on the defensive end.

6. Liam Squire - 9
Had some pent-up energy from his stint on the sidelines and unleashed it at every opportunity. Scored the opening try.

5. Scott Barrett - 6
Made a try-saving tackle inside the opening three minutes. Had a fairly quiet night after that but defended well.

4. Samuel Whitelock - 6
Nothing special in his performance but was good at the lineout and on defence.

3. Owen Franks - 7
Strong at the scrum and breakdown; not so strong in his tackling performance.

2. Codie Taylor - 8
Strong all across the park. Accurate at lineout time, made the majority of his tackles and anchored a solid scrum.

1. Joe Moody - 8
Like Franks and Taylor, Moody made his mark at scrum time and led all players with 10 tackles.

Wallabies

15. Dane Haylett-Petty - 6

Had a forgettable night on attack with a couple of turnovers. Was solid in defence when called upon.

14. Sefa Naivalu - 7
Popped up all over the park and was rewarded with a try on the opposite wing.

13. Israel Folau - 7
Caused plenty of issues with his offloads — unfortunately for both sides. Scored a late try and ran for 100m.

12. Kurtley Beale - 6
Slotted his only attempt from the tee and worked hard but struggled to make his mark on the match.

11. Marika Koroibete - 8
No one will fault Koroibete's effort. He worked hard all night to little avail and could have been better disciplined.

10. Bernard Foley - 7
Didn't have a great start to the game but came right. Saved a sure try and was perfect from the tee.

9. Will Genia - 4
Had a quiet game. Missed almost as many tackles as he made and some opportunities to make a mark on the game.

8. David Pocock - 9
Disruptive as ever at the breakdown. Forced a couple of turnovers and was a force on defence.

7. Michael Hooper - 8
Like Pocock, Hooper was a pest at the breakdown and looked dangerous running the football.

6. Ned Hanigan - 4
Didn't react in time to stop Kieran Read charging over from a scrum. Didn't make much noise.

5. Rob Simmons - 7
Good at the breakdown and set piece, tackled well and made his share of metres on attack.

4. Izack Rodda - 6
Played a strong role defensively and at the set piece, though was one of a few to be penalised.

3. Allan Alaalatoa - 5
Struggled under pressure at scrum time but led the way on defence and was strong cleaning out at the breakdown.

2. Folau Faingaa - 5
Threatened with ball in hand and didn't miss a tackle. As with his fellow front rowers, he conceded a penalty.

1. Scott Sio - 4
Was beaten at scrum time and poor discipline let him down but he tried to make up for it with strong defence.
