The Warriors welcome back winger Ken Maumalo in the only change to the line-up that belted Brisbane for this weekend's NRL clash with the Melbourne Storm at Mt Smart Stadium.
The Warriors return to their home patch for the first time in over three weeks on Sunday to face the side that embarrassed them on Anzac Day and get the towering Maumalo back to help kick-start their sets with his strong carries.
Maumalo's return from a minor knee injury means Peta Hiku drops to the bench. Hiku responded well against the Broncos after a shocking performance a week earlier against the Panthers. Gerard Beale retains his place in the centres.
In a major boost for the side prop Bunty Afoa has been included on a large interchange bench. He injured his elbow in the loss to Cronulla three weeks ago and had been expected to be out for at least another week or two. Afoa has enjoyed an impressive season for the Warriors, predominantly coming off the bench, and has been passed fit to play.
Prop James Gavet will play his 50th first grade match. He debuted for the Bulldogs in 2012 and but managed just one game with the club before making a move to the Wests Tigers. He added 12 appearances with them before moving to Brisbane for an injury-interrupted stint.
He will make his 36th appearance for the Warriors against the Storm.
The Warriors sit in seventh on the NRL ladder while the Storm are second - the two sides are separated by just two competition points however with a logjam of sides in the top eight.
