Joseph Parker will have to knock out Anthony Joshua to win, according to WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.
Wilder will be a very interested observer in the upcoming heavyweight unification bout between WBO champion Parker and WBA and IBF holder Joshua in Cardiff on April 1 (NZ time).
The American champion offered his thoughts on the fight saying he definitely gives Parker a chance.
"I wish Parker all the best, but I think Parker is definitely going to have to knock Joshua out to win that fight," Wilder told Fight Hub TV.
"I see that fight going late rounds, whatever happens I feel like it's going to happen in the later rounds.
"I definitely give Parker a chance.
"I feel Joseph Parker is coming [up], he's got the heart. We'll see what happens but I think he's gonna have to definitely knock him out to win though."
Wilder also looked ahead to a potential clash with Joshua, arguing that he is the best.
"I'm very happy for Joshua and what he's doing but when it comes to the boxing business of it, when it comes to seeing who's the best, I know I'm the best.
"He can't see why I have so much confidence in myself."
Wilder will defend his WBC crown against highly-rated Cuban Luis Ortiz on March 3.
