Kiwi golfer Ryan Fox has broken into the top 100 in the world rankings for the first time.

Fox has improved from 122 to 95 following his tie for fourth in the Scottish Open.

He replaces Mike Hendry as Kiwi number two with Hendry ranked 110.

Danny Lee remains number one at 77 on the list.

Fox and Hendry are both at Royal Birkdale for this week's British Open.

Fox tees off at 1.37pm in the opening round, having been paired with American Matt Kuchar and Scot Richie Ramsay.

Hendry is paired with American Brian Harman and Scotland's Martin Laird and will tee off at 12.31pm.

However Hendry is struggling with a back problem hindering his preparation.
