The finalists are set for Sunday afternoon's showdown at the United Airlines Men's National Baseball Championships at Lloyd Elsmore Park in Pakuranga.

North Shore City are the only unbeaten side going into the final after a big win over neighbours Orewa and following up with a win over fellow finalists, Howick-Pakuranga Hawks in Saturday afternoon's dress rehearsal. Orewa will play the Howick-Pakuranga Greyhawks in the playoff for 3rd and 4th.

In an exciting showdown afternoon game, North Shore outlasted the Hawks four runs to two in the game which decided who will have home field advantage in Sunday's Grand Final. Both sides are keen to retain a title both have won in recent years, after last year's upstart Counties team took the title to South Auckland.
