The man who ran naked across Eden Park during yesterday's ODI between New Zealand and Australia has escaped a fine, according to reports.
TVNZ reports that police issued the 24-year-old with a "formal caution".
It means he avoids a fine of up to $5,000 had police decided to prosecute him.
It will be a welcoming outcome for the streaker who had a tough ending to his escapade.
He will not only be nursing a bruised ego today, but a bruised body after a failed attempt to dodge security guards.
Cricket fans watched as the pasty spectator took to the pitch at Eden Park in his birthday suit, with his sunhat in hand.
Videos posted on Twitter showed three security guards in orange shirts running after the
Australian innings.
The man tried to jump over the boundary fence but tripped, landing on his side, with the guards able to catch up with him.
One security guard jumped on top of him and a handful of others held him down before covering him up and walking him out of the grounds.
Newstalk ZB producer Guy Heveldt tweeted: "That streaker absolutely nailed himself jumping over the hoardings. That would've...hurt."
Another Twitter user said: "Hope the streaker got smashed after he smashed himself #egg."
