A year to the day All Blacks great Dan Carter was completing a lifelong dream of playing in a World Cup final victory. A year later he's creating nightmares.
The Racing Metro first-five posted a frightening image on Twitter in Halloween garb with the message: "Meudon mafia out trick or treating #happyhalloween".
Carter, we're picking the one in the middle with the wrestling mask on holding the pumpkin, is flanked by two fellow trick or treaters equipped with baby masks.
Carter's costume isn't that scary but those baby faced teammates would have no doubt scared a few children in the Parisian suburb of Meudon.
Carter was named man of the match in the World Cup final one year ago today, after kicking four penalties, two conversions and a drop goal in the All Blacks' 34-17 win over the Wallabies at Twickenham.
A week later he was named World Rugby's player of the year for the third time in his test career.
