Dustin Johnson's capped off his best season to date by being named the PGA Tour's player of the year.

Johnson claimed three wins during the 2015-16 season including a breakthrough major victory in the US Open at Oakmont.

The American earned the nod over world number one Jason Day and FedEx Cup winner Rory McIlroy in a vote of his peers.

Johnson had a tour best 15 top-10 finishes and the best adjusted scoring average.
