NBA hall-of-famer Charles Barkley has some massive praise for Kiwi centre Steven Adams following his stellar play during the NBA playoffs.
During a TNT broadcast of the NBA's Western Conference Finals' game seven, Barkley said "Let me tell y'all something.. that boy Steven Adams is real".
Barkley said this was his first time seeing Adams play in person, and added "he is going to be a star in this league, he's unbelievable. He's tough too!".
Barkley, affectionately known as "the round mound of rebound", was named to 11 All-Star teams during his 16 year NBA career.
He spent most of his time with the Philadelphia 76ers, and spent time with the Phoenix Suns and Houston Rockets.
Despite never winning an NBA title, Barkley won the NBA's Most Valuable Player Award in 1993 with Phoenix, had his number 34 jersey retired by both Phoenix and Philadelphia, and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006.
