The first single-handed boats will be added to New Zealand's Olympic team this morning.
The selection of the five double-handed crews in March was largely straightforward, but the five Olympic single-handed disciplines aren't so predictable.
After months of intense competition in the men's Finn and Laser classes, the recent performances
from Josh Junior and Sam Meech are likely to give them the nod ahead of Andrew Murdoch and Andy Maloney respectively.
Sara Winther is touch and go to be selected in the women's Laser Radial, while New Zealand's not expected to send a board sailor to Rio for the first time since the class was introduced to the Games in 1984.
