Former Warrior Nathan Friend now has a rival for the most freakish somersault in world sport over the past 12 months.
Friend's astonishing somersault pass that led to a stunning Warriors try against the Melbourne Storm at Mt Smart Stadium went viral around the world, even ending up on popular ESPN's Plays of the Week.
But American NFL player Martavis Bryant, known by his teammates as "The Alien", may have even topped Friend's memorable effort.
Midway through the third quarter of the Pittsburgh Steelers away game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Bryant lit up Paul Brown Stadium with a frontrunner for touchdown catch of the year.
The Steelers wide receiver took a 10-yard pass from quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, catching it over his head before fumbling and regathering with a front somersault for the touchdown.
Fans drew a likeness to the catch widely considered as one of the best touchdown grabs of all time - Odell Beckham Jr's one-handed take against the Dallas Cowboys in November 2014.
Even Beckham himself couldn't help but tip his hat at the effort.
