INVERNESS, Scotland (AP) A double from Kris Doolan gave Partick Thistle a 2-1 win at second-place Inverness on Sunday as Terry Butcher's team lost its first home game in the Scottish league this season.
Doolan put the visitors in front with a low shot past goalkeeper Dean Brill in the 20th minute and scored the winner seven minutes from time with a tap-in after Brill failed to hold a cross.
Gary Warren had leveled the score just after halftime with a header at the Caledonian Stadium.
Inverness had two goals ruled out.
Butcher says "I can't believe we've actually lost the game. We had enough chances to win the game."
Inverness stayed second in the standings, four points behind Celtic, which has a game in hand.
