New Zealand golfer Danny Lee is the leader after the first round of the Colombia Championship on the Tour.

Lee fired a seven-under 64, including eight birdies, to lead by one shot over American duo Sam Saunders and Shane Bertsch.

The Kiwi is looking to bounce back to form after failing to make the cut at last week's Panama Claro Championship.

Meanwhile fellow New Zealanders Michael Campbell is off the pace at the European Tour's Tshwane Open in Centurion, South Africa.

Campbell sits in a tie for 80th after an even par 72.
