There have been another 29 arrests in Wellington overnight, as Sevens fans headed to the central city to party.
Most were for breaching liquor bans and disorderly behaviour.
Eight people were arrested at the stadium yesterday, and 28 people were thrown out.
Operation Commander Inspector Simon Perry said the majority of Sevens partygoers were well behaved.
Larger crowds are expected in town tonight.
Inspector Perry has advised people to moderate the amount of alcohol they drink, stay hydrated, eat food, stick together and keep an eye out for friends.
