Lightly-raced stayer Prince Arthur will head to stud after suffering a career-ending injury at trackwork.
The Bart Cummings-trained 6-year-old was due to compete in the listed Winter Cup (2400m) at Rosehill tomorrow in an attempt to add another black type victory to his record before standing at owner Dato Tan Chin Nam's Think Big Stud in spring.
"He looks to have injured a suspensory so he will go to stud now," Cummings' foreman John Thompson said.
Prince Arthur is a son of Danehill from Palace Music mare Scribbling, a daughter of Princess Tracy.
He is a three-quarter brother in blood to Danasinga, sire of this season's dual group one winning 3-year-old Metal Bender.
